1. Taman Sari: Taman Sari is a garden that has unique architecture, and a mixture of Javanese and Portuguese architecture. located in the middle of the city.
2. Yogyakarta Sultanate Palace
Yogyakarta Palace is official palace of the Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X.
located in Yogyakarta city, this palace was built by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I in 1755 as a new Yogyakarta Palace.
It is a fraction of the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace from the Surakarta Sultanate. due to the split of Islamic Mataram with the Giyanti agreement
The palace serves as a cultural center for the Javanese people and contains a museum that displays the sultanate’s artifacts.
3. Malioboro Street
Malioboro street is the most popular street in Yogyakarta. Located in the heart of Yogyakarta city. this street is very popular because related to Javanese mythology.
If you want to spend your night hanging out or you want to buy souvenirs from Yogyakarta. So Malioboro street is the perfect place to find it. you will see many shops that sell handicrafts or anything that you need to bring back to your home country.
On Malioboro street, many tourists both local and foreign spend their time having fun.
You will see street performances from local artists, they are dancing traditional dance with traditional instruments.

4. Borobudur Temple

Merapi is the most active volcano in Java island, and it has had several times eruption, but when it’s calm, Merapi Mountain can be used as a tourist destination because they have many beautiful spots and you can do some activity there.

The meaning of Kulon Progo is the “West of River Progo“, Progo is the name of the river and Kulon is West.
The distance from Yogyakarta to Kulon Progo is 25 km. So not too far from Yogyakarta.

1. River Mudal Park
located in Jati Ulyo Village is a waterfall and bathing pool sourced from natural springs.
you can do some activities in River Mudal park such as Flyingfox, hiking while enjoying nature, taking pictures, or anything else.
the most interesting in River Mudal is the color of the water is Blue Tosca. So it’s beautiful.
But I Suggested you not go on the weekend because full of local tourists, you should go on weekdays.

2.KaliBiru
Kalibiru is a tourist destination located in Kalibiru Village. the distance from Yogyakarta is about 39 km.
In Kalibiru you can see beautiful landscapes such as Menoreh hill and if the weather is clear you can see the beach from a distance. So you can make beautiful pictures from various angles.
there are many facilities that you can try such as outbound, camping ground, Reservoir and restaurant or cafe.
3.Kedung Pedut Waterfall
Kedung Pedut Waterfall is one of the natural tourist attractions in Kulon Progo.
Kedung Pedut is well known for the beauty of the water color where there are two colors of water clear white and green.
The clear white color occurs because of the heavy flow of water coming from the waterfall next to this Kedung (pool ) while the green Tosca is formed from the reflection of the rocks on the riverbed that are emitted by sunlight.

Why? because Parangtritis and Prawirotaman street is located in the middle of the city of Yogyakarta so very strategic.
There are many cheap hostels and cafes or beer houses and in the evening the athmosphere is so fun.
From Parangtritis street to Malioboro only 2 Km and if you want to go to Parangtritis beach only 30 km.
There are also many shops that rent motorbikes that you can rent when you visit Yogyakarta so it will make it easier to explore every place in Yogyakarta. And the fee for renting a motorbike is about RP 80.000/day.

Different from Yogyakarta as a tourism City, Solo is an industrial city.
So if you need a good quality Batik you will find Batik in Solo and the price is cheaper than Yogyakarta.
