to be precise in Gumeng Village, Jenawi District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java
Cetho Temple was built around 1452-1470 AD during the Majapahit Kingdom, precisely during the reign of King Brawijaya V.
Cetho comes from the Javanese language which means clear.
That is, from the location of this temple one can clearly see all around because it is located at an altitude of 1,496 meters above sea level.
How to get to Tawangmangu?
If you depart from the city of Solo, I suggest you rent a motorbike at a cost of around 80 thousand / per day
As I mentioned earlier the distance from Solo to Tawangmangu is only about 40km so it can be reached in one hour
You need to go east and follow the map from Google
I also suggest that you stay there for maybe one or two nights so that you are satisfied to enjoy the atmosphere
